There are two different types of rods available for use with the 1.5 kite The SLE rod (Super Leading Edge) This larger diameter rod (1/2") gives the kite a stiffer feel and a wide wind range, it is also very strong and great for learning.. The vertical rods are standard 1/4" size.

You can easily change the frame of your Rev 1.5 Kite, and change it's performance. The end caps are designed to fit both sizes of rod so you will not need to change them.

By replacing the SLE with either 1/4" 4 wrap, 3 wrap or 2 wrap rod's the kite will be much more flexible and lighter. Although this will make the kite slower it will also make it easier to control This will give the kite better hovering and precise performance.

If opting for the lighter 2 wrap for ultimate light wind performance it is worth changing the verticals to match.

The 2 wrap frame is recommended for the more advanced flyer.
